A 2 day work, including texturing. Made with 3dsmax and rendered in vRay. I played with several lighting schemes. Some of the images are lit with HDRi alone. HDR adds a lot of realism to the end result, but alone it’s not enough. I like adding at least one more light to the scene, to have the strong highlights where I want them.

June 5th, 2009 was just another boring Friday afternoon which I’ve decided to spend on creating this little funny picture. I shot my Stormtrooper action figure in that singing in the rain pose and put him over Jean Kelly. The photo was first published in an earlier blog of mine on Tumblr and then rolled on all over the internet.
When I saw a link on Digg with a note that the source is unknown I’ve decided this image deserves a post here.

I’ve returned from a vacation to The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The main goal was to be in RockWerchter 2010 in Belgium. It was an amazing experience, being the first festival I’ve ever been to that’s this big. I saw, among the many gigs, Pearl Jam, Muse, Alice in Chains, Rammstein and Them Crooked Vultures. I’ve also had the chance to spend some time in Amsterdam and Köln.
Now I’m back, and the first thing I’m posting is some sketches I’ve done during the trip. Tomorrow I’ll post more stuff I’ve done recently, so stay tuned!
