Daily Doodle #10: Ancient Soldiers #1
I know, last theme lasted only two doodles, but I just really wanted to start drawing the soldiers. Anyway, today’s the Greek hoplite. The hoplites, named after their shield (hopla, in Greek), were the middle-class soldiers in the city-states in ancient Greek. They had to buy their own gear, which included a shield, spear, helmet and sometimes armor.
