Sketch: Parkour
A quick sketch. I’m currently working on a really big piece, so I needed a short exercise. Inspired by this Dream Theater song.

Today I was an early bird, and rose up at 7 o’clock (!). I haven’t seen the morning from this side in quite some time now. Here’s today’s morning drawing. Also featured on Drawaholics‘ blog.
I’ve returned from a vacation to The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The main goal was to be in RockWerchter 2010 in Belgium. It was an amazing experience, being the first festival I’ve ever been to that’s this big. I saw, among the many gigs, Pearl Jam, Muse, Alice in Chains, Rammstein and Them Crooked Vultures. I’ve also had the chance to spend some time in Amsterdam and Köln.
Now I’m back, and the first thing I’m posting is some sketches I’ve done during the trip. Tomorrow I’ll post more stuff I’ve done recently, so stay tuned!
I’m creating a new character for my portfolio. Here are some concepts. What do you think?
As part of the drawing class I’m taking I need to create a fantastic world populated with several character types and create it’s environment.
I started with a tyrant kind of warrior. I made several sketches, each time changing details and exploring it before I reached a somewhat finished version.
I then created a sketch for the other characters in this world:
It’s very preliminary. I will go through a lot of revisions with these too and update you guys.
Here’s a quick illustration, done a day after making a few sketches for this character. What I don’t like in this picture is his pose. It’s not balanced enough. Also I didn’t manage to make his face resemble the one in the sketches. And I also think the shortenings I made on his left arm are wrong. I think I followed most of the perspective rules correctly, though.
…for Lynx week in Hello my name is… And I am a Drawaholic. Good day everyone!
